New Opportunities for PWL Peace River
General Manager(s)

February 8th, 2017

When Brendan King first started working at Points West Living Peace River (back when it opened in September 2013), he couldn’t have imagined the job would one day lead him back to his old stomping grounds on Vancouver Island. But that’s where he’s heading, and David Haastrup will fill his shoes as PWL Peace River’s Interim General Manager.

Brendan is taking on the role of Startup Manager for the new Nanaimo Memory and Complex Care residence for Points West Living’s operations partner Connecting Care. It’s been fifteen years since Brendan attended grade school in nearby Comox, and he’s looking forward to becoming reacquainted with the area and the people.

In preparation for his departure Brendan has been working with PWL Peace River’s former nighttime LPN David Haastrup. David has a degree in Zoology from Ambrose Alli University in Ekpoma Nigeria, and received his Practical Nursing Diploma from Durham College in Oshawa Ontario. David serves on the Alberta Health Services North Zone Local Clinical Ethics Committee, and volunteers on the Alberta College of Licensed Practical Nurses Jurisprudence Exam Committee.
