Quiet memorial celebrates residents' lives,
lived and shared

January 23rd, 2017

There’s a special time that Points West Living Wainwright celebrates quietly every year; a tribute to the residents who have passed away over the past year. Held this year on January 18, the gathering gives those who remain a chance to remember and celebrate the people whose lives they shared.

It's good for the soul

“Taking this time to remember is very valuable for all of us,” says recreation coordinator Jenna Hopaluk. “It gives us all a moment to think. It’s good for the soul.”

Care partners welcome the opportunity to remember too. “We fall in love with residents and their families,” says Jenna. “We invite all of the families to the memorial, and it’s so nice to see those who can come. For those who’ve lost their loved one very recently, it’s too close, but for the rest it’s a celebration.”
