Halloween Smiles in Stettler

November 9th, 2015

Masks and face paint couldn’t hide the smiles of residents, care partners and visiting children as they celebrated Halloween together at Points West Living Stettler. About 15 children from two local preschools met with residents, to play games, sing and dance, and of course, share candy.

Care Partners joined in the fun too, dressing their parts from Angle to Witch (GM Svetlana Rodenjic), Princess Fiona (DreamWorks’ Shrek princess) to Red Riding Hood, the costumes were colourful, clever, and just the right amount of creepy.

Resident 'Monster'!

Not to be outdone, all of the residents of Alix Crescent and Pioneer Place got dressed up. One resident, Dustin, helped out with games and according to recreation coordinator Jenn Dixon, “He got dressed up and scared us all with a huge monster costume, alongside his Big Baby.” (link to Flickr photo here)

Once the games, costume parade and candy collection were done, everyone sat down to fresh-from-the-oven chocolate chip cookies and juice. As Jenn says, “There wasn’t a frown in the house!”
