Second-place winning photo
evokes fond memories

November 20th, 2018

This second-place photo from the 2018 Points West Living Photo Contest was taken this past spring and illustrates the heartwarming story of two old friends, reunited at Points West Living Wainwright. The friendship between Hazel Dalton (left) and Dot Pomeroy goes back more than six decades and has bridged many years of living far from each other. It’s something they’ll have to get used to once again.

Sad to see Dot leave

Everyone at PWL Wainwright was sad to see Dot leave a few months ago when she made the move to Vancouver Island to be with her daughter. She had lived at PWL Wainwright since 2014, and will be particularly missed by Hazel, although as Dot says, “Good friends keep in touch…”

For more on their story, check out the May 2018 PWL News article, Sixty-year friendship flourishes at PWL-Wainwright.

Final photo prize

Recreation coordinator Shauna Lee Carlson captured the easy camaraderie between Hazel and Dot in this second-prize-winning photo. She wins a $25 gift card plus a Points West Living tote bag.

This is the final article on the three prize-winning photos (first-prize, third-prize) from the 2018 Points West Living Photo Contest.
