Friends gather in the library for Valentine’s
tea party

February 19th, 2018

The Library at Points West Living Peace River is a perfect place for small gatherings, and one resident put it to good use on February 13, for a family and friends afternoon valentine’s tea party. Resident Mary Biggs and her daughter Lynn Hanusz decorated and prepared the room.

The tables were set with tablecloths, napkins, beautiful teacups and saucers, and decorated with handmade valentines, stuffed bears and a wonderful assortment of tasty treats. Recreation coordinator Bernadette Harris says it was a warm and joyful gathering. “Good family, friends, goodies, conversation, and many laughs brought out the smiles and joy. They had so much fun they have decided to hold a monthly themed tea party and have even more folks attending.”

Guests included Teresa MacNeil, Marie Strachan, Rita Boyer, Arlene & George Staicesku, Grace Hallett, and her daughters Donna Spiller and Sharon Higginson who brought along her grandson, four-year-old Ryder Higginson, who gave everyone a valentine.
